Bonmarché has debuted its first shop-in-shop with supermarket Co-op as part of the value-focused fashion retailer’s ongoing UK expansion plan.

The Louth, Lincolnshire, Co-op opening is part of the convenience store group’s upgrade and includes a 3,000 sq ft Bonmarché area cementing an “inaugural partnership” between the two brands.
The new store features the summer collections including the Lorraine Loves Edit, curated by TV presenter Lorraine Kelly, plus a recent occasionwear collection designed by David Emanuel. Sizes range from 10-28.
Bonmarché Retail Director Amanda Waterfield said: “[We] hope this opening will lead to more Co-op partnerships in the future.”
Kevin Ferguson, Co-op’s Louth Store Manager, added: “The arrival of Bonmarché is a great addition. Our aim is to operate at the heart of local life and we have worked to develop the range, choice and added services to serve our community.”
Bonmarché is also continuing to open stores across the UK with over 100 standalone high street units targeted over the next 18 months. Measuring between 2,000-3,000 sq ft, store opening plans include Bradford and Milton Keynes, as well as Inverness and Stirling in Scotland and Cork and Dublin in Northern Ireland.
Last year, the 225-store retailer opened units in Middlesbrough, St Helens, Bridport, Oban, Paisley, Thatcham, Newton Mearns, Chilton, Tring and Dalton Park.
