Fendi is set to expand its footprint in Spain with a new boutique in Madrid. Following the debut of its first location in the Spanish capital in 2022 within El Corte Inglés on Paseo de la Castellana, the brand will shortly unveil a store at number 6 Ortega y Gasset Street in the upscale Salamanca district, a site formerly occupied by luxury watchmaker Omega.

After refurbishments facilitated by real estate consultancy Ascana, Fendi is expected to launch—likely in the last quarter of 2024—its second point of sale in the city and its first street-level retail space. Its presence in the Spanish market is rounded out with a store on Barcelona's Paseo de Gracia and another in Puerto Banús, Marbella.

In its new Madrid location, Fendi will join a prestigious lineup of peers, including Dior, Cartier, Jimmy Choo, Hermès, Dolce & Gabbana, and Brunello Cucinelli.

Founded by Adele and Edoardo Fendi in 1925 as a shop in the heart of Rome, Fendi initially specialized in handbags and furrier services. The brand progressively expanded its offerings, reaching a significant turning point with the arrival of Karl Lagerfeld in 1965. Since 2000, the house has been under the umbrella of the French luxury giant LVMH.
