Italian sportswear brand Kappa is collaborating with creative London agency Too Hot “to throw open its archive of pro football kits”.

What that actually means is uncertain and this is an early-stage announcement that has yet to reveal “upcoming projects”, but will surely coincide with the start of the Euros football championships kicking off in Germany on 14 July.
But the collab does debut with a just-released documentary, featuring Vice-President of Kappa’s owner BasicNet, Lorenzo Boglione, and Too Hot founder Ollie Evans “discussing Kappa’s rich heritage, notable moments in World Cup football and look at memorable jerseys of the past”.
And the wider promotion will include the extensive Kappa collection, based at its headquarters in Turin, “showcasing the brand’s history and long-lasting legacy in this field".
Evans said this journey with Kappa, delving into its rich tapestry of football shirt heritage “is a narrative that resonates deeply with our ethos of style and legacy.”
And that begins with the brand crafting its inaugural jersey for Italian club Juventus in 1978 to kits for Manchester City, Barcelona, Napoli, and Jamaica.
“Kappa’s sponsorship of football shirts spans decades, solidifying its status as a cornerstone of the sport”, the said.
But for the moment, it’s a case of ‘watch this space’.
