Superdry's Euro logistics specialist takes over UK distribution ops in Burton on Trent

Fashion retailer Superdry has appointed logistics specialist Bleckmann to take over the running of its ‘The Duke’ distribution operations site in Burton on Trent.

Bleckmann, which also operates Superdry’s logistics ops in mainland Europe, will take over the UK site from 1 July.

This transition will involve around 170 employees, who will transfer to Bleckmann under the same terms and conditions they have at present. 

Importantly, no redundancies are planned as part of this transition, Superdry and Bleckmann noted, with the centre expecting to attract new customers, “creating even more jobs in the region”, they added.

“The move of Superdry marks a significant milestone for Bleckmann, further solidifying its position as a leading provider of logistics solutions in the UK market”, it said. 

“At the European mainland, Superdry has been a client since 2007 and we are proud that we also will do their logistics in the United Kingdom,” said Reinardt van Oel, Chief Operations Officer Belgium and UK at Bleckmann.
