Value fashion and lifestyle retailer TKMaxx has opened its new store at the Braehead Centre in Renfrew, Scotland, in time for the festive season.

The 27,000 sq ft ground-floor store will “offer customers brands and designer labels at affordable prices – with the retailer’s clothing, accessories, homeware and beauty offers”.

The unit, which has been signed on a 15-year lease, is located in a prime position on the ground floor, next to M&S, within the retail and leisure destination, owned by property company SGS and managed by Global Mutual.

TKMaxx also joins a strong line-up of brands including H&M, Next, Sports Direct, Primark, Quiz, Apple, Poundland, Yankee Candle, The Fragrance Shop, Boots, and Scotland’s largest Superdrug store.

Steve Gray, Head of European Retail Asset Management at Global Mutual, said:  “Household name brands act as a real draw for shoppers and we know there will be a real buzz around the opening – especially as we head into the festive shopping period.  The new store will broaden our fashion and homeware offer, helping to keep the shopper experience fresh and compelling.

“We’ve welcomed a number of new brands and seen existing ones grow their footprint at Braehead over recent months – reflecting the continued resilience of physical retail in prime locations like our own. We’ve had a strong year at the centre overall and are optimistic about the months ahead.”
