Digital consumer brands group and beauty goods manufacturer THG has partnered with the British Beauty Council. The aim is to activate initiatives to impact positive change across the beauty industry.

In its first action as the organisation’s patron, its prestige beauty retail brand LookFantastic has launched a ‘What the SPF?!’ campaign, advocating for SPF as a daily skincare essential exempt from taxation.
“Striving to change attitudes towards sun and skin health”, the campaign sees the brand offer a 20% reduction across its core SPF30+ face and body products, “aiming to make SPF products more accessible and affordable for consumers”.
Other projects will centre around improving sustainability, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA), education and driving long-term growth.
Lucy Gorman, CEO of THG Beauty, said: “With our portfolio of prestige beauty brands and our wide-reaching expertise in the industry, we are firmly embedded in the sector and committed to supporting the British Beauty Council in maximising the impact of their strategic initiatives.”
British Beauty Council CEO Millie Kendall, added: “[THG] Group’s wide reach will undoubtedly aid in propelling the Council’s industry-defining initiatives that affect thousands of people daily.
Its influence in beauty manufacturing, sustainability and ecommerce will enable the Council to engage with various areas of business and, alongside its other Patrons, continue its work as a leader in legislative change for the sector.”
